Accessibility Statement
Aura Media Studios is committed to making myLegal usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. Legal information matters most to people who may be navigating hardship, and accessibility is not optional.
1. Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We measure ourselves against these guidelines during design, development, and QA, and we prioritize fixes when we fall short.
2. What We Do
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard alone. Focus order follows reading order.
- Screen reader support — we use semantic HTML landmarks, descriptive link text, labeled form fields, and ARIA attributes where appropriate, tested against common screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS).
- Color contrast — body text meets at least 4.5:1 contrast against its background, and large text meets at least 3:1.
- Images — meaningful images include alternative text; decorative images are marked so screen readers can skip them.
- Zoom and reflow — content reflows cleanly up to 200% browser zoom and on narrow mobile viewports.
- Motion preferences — we respect the
prefers-reduced-motionuser setting and avoid unnecessary animations for users who have it enabled.
3. Known Limitations
We are continuously improving. Some areas we are actively working on include: PDF exports of generated documents, third-party embeds (such as the Stripe billing portal), and non-English UI translations. If you hit a specific barrier, please report it — we prioritize real user reports.
4. Report an Accessibility Issue
Please report accessibility issues through the in-app chat on any page. Include the page URL, the assistive technology you're using (if any), and a description of what happened. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days.
5. Changes
This statement will be updated as our accessibility program evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
