Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies myLegal uses, what they do, and the choices you have. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as login state) over time. We also use similar technologies, such as localStorage, for the same purposes.
2. Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary
anon_id— a first-party identifier for anonymous session tracking and abuse prevention. Set on first visit, persists for up to 1 year.- WorkOS session cookie — set by our authentication provider when you log in, so you stay signed in across pages. Cleared when you log out.
Analytics
- PostHog — product analytics that help us understand which features are used and where users get stuck. Cookies/local storage are first-party; we do not use PostHog to build cross-site advertising profiles.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-first traffic analytics that does not use tracking cookies and does not fingerprint users. Enabled by default; no opt-in required under most privacy laws because no personal data is collected.
No third-party advertising cookies
We do not set advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or sell your information to ad networks.
3. Your Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or set a "Do Not Track" signal. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as our session cookie) will break logged-in features — you will not be able to sign in, use the Vault, or maintain subscription state.
Where required by law, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and equivalent opt-out signals for analytics.
4. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect new tools or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
